A long, long time ago (1996 to be exact), in the central-ish province of Singapore called Bishan, there were just Marcus (guitar) and Clement (drums). They stuck together after their first covers band Type One Negative dissolved after one gig. Having the common desire to create and play music that didn't run the risk of a lawsuit for copyright infringement (hint hint cover bands!), the duo hooked up with Foo Soo Hian (bass) after the O Levels. The band sounded decent. Thus the first incarnation of Chocolate Tiger, then known as Xodus, was born.

In 1997 the line-up then expanded to include Hendri on drums. Clement moved upfront to play guitar and several gigs were played with this line-up. The band starts to improve. Then, Clement's closet Bass Obsession started in earnest. Then, in March 1998, Shaun came aboard whilst Sixian was quietly dropped. Clement moved to bass whilst Shaun brought his immense talent to the lead guitar slot. The 'new' band, thereafter christened Chocolate Tiger, got better and better. They hope.

This is the current lineup of Chocolate Tiger and probably the most stable. We've been gigging in various quiet corners of town and hope to save up enough cash to do a proper recording. Gig offers are very welcome, feel free to drop us a line if you want!
Our long term objectives are world domination and a very large harem. Clement, Hendri and Pheng Huat will have their own private racing tracks and the Chocolate Tiger World Rally Championship will be the premiere rally event in the world. The Chocolate Tiger Music Conglomerate shall buy over every major record label and set up the Chocolate Tiger Music Trust fund for struggling musicians worldwide. Chocolate Tiger will tour all over the world, opening for Jimmy Eat World and Kiss.
But seriously folks...
We're just looking for opportunities to play live, cuz that's what we really enjoy. Make some good music and some good records. Basically, just make music with each other till we drop dead!
